I’m sure after not reporting on Mad World yesterday you guys may have thought I was through with it. Well, you were wrong. I’m still just as excited by this game and am 100% dedicated to posting as much about it as I can find for your enjoyment. You are welcome. Below you will find a 12 minute video which takes you behind the scenes of the game and on a tour of Platinum Games, its developer. Yes, 12 minutes is a long time but, it’s 12 minutes dedicated to what may be the best Wii game ever. So, I think it gets a pass. Enjoy!

New Sonic & The Black Knight Trailers Courtesy of IGN

Posted under Wii Game Releases, Wii Game Videos by admin on Wednesday 25 February 2009 at 9:53 AM

Sonic & The Black Knight is coming out next week so, that means the trailers are forthcoming. I was not at all a fan of Sonic & The Secret Rings, but this one looks a bit more promising. It could be that it’s set in the time of King Arthur and that fantastical period has a soft spot from my childhood. I used to love the tales of the Roundtable adventures of Gawain, Arthur and company. I also used to love Sonic games so, on paper this is a match made in heaven. Of course, games in this day and age aren’t exactly known for living up to what they can represent on paper. Either way, the latest Sonic adventure is shaping up to be a sleeper hit for Nintendo in these beginning months of 2009 that have been mostly dedicated to the hardcore title. It is slightly ironic that sandwiched between the release of Dead Rising and Mad World rests little old Sonic. Let’s hope the character we grew up with can still hold his own. Enjoy the two latest trailers for Sonic & The Black Knight, due to be released March 3, below courtesy of IGN.

Ghostbusters: The Video Game for the Nintendo Wii Video

Posted under Nintendo Wii, Wii Game Videos by admin on Tuesday 24 February 2009 at 1:59 PM

There have been plenty of screenshots released for Ghostbusters: The Video Game. I’ve already included quite a few in past posts. Unfortunately I’ve only been able to find one video relating exclusively to the Wii version of the game. Luckily it’s pretty extensive, and we get to learn quite a bit about the motion controls, and some of the gameplay.

Ghostbusters: The Video Game for Wii Screenshots

Posted under Nintendo Wii, Wii Game Screenshots by admin on Tuesday 24 February 2009 at 1:54 PM

In my previous post, I mentioned how there will be two separate games released on the Wii, and the Xbox360 and PS3 version. I should probably elaborate on that, and let you know exactly what I mean.

First, the major difference is that the Nintendo Wii version was developed by an entirely different studio than the other version. Red Fly Studio is the company in charge of making Ghostbusters: The Video Game on the Wii, and has some experience developing on Nintendo’s console. If you’ve played Mushroom Men, then you’ve played Red Fly Studio’s Wii creation.

More Mad World Gameplay Videos!

Posted under Wii Game Releases, Wii Game Reviews, Wii Game Videos by admin on Tuesday 24 February 2009 at 10:08 AM

Guys, Mad World comes out in two weeks. TWO WEEKS!!! Not much can be said about the game that hasn’t already. You play as Jack, a man thrown into a Running Man type contest, called Death Watch, in which you must kill or be killed. You can do this using the chainsaw stored in your prosthetic arm, a spiked bat, some daggers, or any of the numerous objects in the world that are deathtraps waiting to be fed! The entire time play by play will be given by two commentators who are voiced by Bender from “Futurama” and Greg Proops from “Whose Line Is It Anyway?” The games artistic style is what makes it stand out. The only colors you will see are black, white and red. Lots of red. Mad World is without a doubt one of the most anticipated Wii titles since Mario Galaxy. All fingers are crossed that it can live up to the hype. Judging by the gameplay videos via IGN and Gametrailers that I’m posting below, it is going to be a visceral and bloody good time!
