DJ Hero Wii – Monstrous New Game From Activision

After the huge success and numerous million gross revenue from the Guitar Hero series made by Activision, they have decided to publish another Hero series feature, but this one is made more for R&B, rap and different types of dance music. It is Wii DJ hero for the Nintendo Wii, a turntable controller dependent, beat & music game from Activision. If you bought, seen or know the games from the Hero series like Guitar Hero, which made a tremendous success in gross sales, then this new DJ version game will be in the same quality standards that we got used to in the Hero series and will bring participants a feel of being a club DJ star.

That’s not the only DJ wannabe game to be released this year. Konami will be publishing the Beatmania game that is pretty close to the DJ Hero Wii game. But, the Activision game should give a near reality experience with a high quality mixing like music, that will give the dance floor music amateur their high BPM dosage. Other stimulating better features are the exclusive new songs from Eminem & Jay-Z that were made solely for this DJ Hero game

Activision claims that the game is about spinning, remixing and playing like a DJ as if you are making a gang of dance lovers, that enjoy that kind of music that you hear in a club and dance their brains out. The game will include song genres like Rap, R&B and hip-hop, different genres of dance music that usually will be preferred by the club goers and others that are partisans of this rhythm of sound.

Two other glamorous features are the freestyle mode that will bring you the opportunity of spinning and mixing that is just like the professionals. This is the chance to realize the dream of becoming a DJ.

The second exciting feature is 10 songs that are played both with the turntable controller of the DJ Hero game and with the guitar controller from the Guitar Hero game. This will permit the fans of rap, metal and rock metal to play dance style music with electric guitar tracks.

DJ Hero will be available for Nintendo Wii, PS2, playstation and Xbox 360 at the end of October 2009.

The latest rumors that are going around the net are that both the developers and the distribution companies want to have uniformed Hero gameplay experience by incorporating all the controls of old and upcoming Hero games in the future games. This means that you will be able to play with the guitar, turntable, drums and microphone.

DJ Hero Nintendo Wii First Look

You’ve shredded the fake guitars, and now it’s time to try your hand at the wheels of steel in Activision’s upcoming DJ debut.

It should come as no surprise that Activision is looking to build on the success of its Guitar Hero franchise. We’ve already seen band-specific versions of GH featuring Metallica, Aerosmith, and the recently announced Guitar Hero: Van Halen. With its latest project, DJ Hero, Activision and UK developer Freestyle Games are bringing a new peripheral and some fresh genres of music into the video game world with a game that looks to do for spinning the wheels of steel what Guitar Hero has done for rocking the six string.

At the pre-E3 press junket back in May, developer Freestyle showed off both the gameplay and the associated turntable/mixer accessory that will come with the game when it’s released this fall. The hardware features a single record platter with three embedded buttons that are used to trigger samples and music streams. As you might expect, the platter spins smoothly so you can easily scratch, which, as you might expect, is an essential part of gameplay.

Guitar Hero: Greatest Hits Nintendo Wii Hands-On Impressions Preview

No doubt as a result of the brand’s meteoric rise to fame, Guitar Hero has evolved into a bit of a video-game industry octopus. Bear with us here. While the core gameplay mechanics in Guitar Hero haven’t changed much between iterations, the financial juggernaut unleashed by its upward spiral in popularity has necessitated its evolution from an amorphous blob into something sprouting several distinctive sub-franchise limbs. Firstly, there’s the guitar-only brand that launched the game, and the format we last saw with Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock. Then there’s the mobile version, Guitar Hero: On Tour, which has been specifically designed for the Nintendo DS handheld and takes advantage of a GBA slot peripheral. Next up is the multiplayer-focused band experience of Guitar Hero: World Tour, which launched late last year. The latter took the basic GH solo formula and added drums and vocals to the mix. Lastly, there’s the track-pack expansion arm of the Guitar Hero family with GH: Aerosmith, the recently launched GH: Metallica, and the freshly announced Van Halen game, all of which are built around showcasing individual super acts.

Tony Hawk Ride Coming to Nintendo Wii

Activision takes the wraps off its long-rumored skateboard-peripheral-based game, to be fully revealed at E3 June 2; Robomodo and Buzz Monkey developing.

Last June, the now-infamous Intellisponse leak took the wraps off the now-revealed Xbox Live Avatars, karaoke game Lips, and Guitar Hero World Tour neck slide. Now, yet another game accidentally unmasked by the market-research firm has been officially announced.

This morning, the Tony Hawk Ride Web site–http://thride.com/–went live, revealing the title, platforms, and developer of the long-awaited relaunch of Activision’s Tony Hawk series. As predicted by the aforementioned leak and subsequent reports, the game will use a skateboard controller and will be released for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. As can be seen in the shot of the game, the peripheral will be a wireless full-sized skate dek, and it will have the buttons located along one side.

Not revealed in the Intellisponse leak was that Tony Hawk Ride will also be coming to the Wii, nor the indentity of its developers. Upstart shop Robomodo–which rose from the ashes of EA Chicago–is one of the shops working on the project, as had been suspected since Neversoft revealed it was no longer involved with the Tony Hawk series. Also present on the site is the logo for Portland, Oregon-based Buzz Monkey–which worked on Tomb Raider: Underworld (but not as the primary developer).

The game’s official site promises more information on June 2–the first day of the 2009 Electronic Entertainment Expo, which GameSpot will be covering live from Los Angeles.
