The Wii is the most tiny console gaming system engineered to date. It weighs just 2.7 lbs; this makes it the lightest and smallest of the other two major consoles of the seventh generation. The Wii game package has a lot of diverse products. Many people believe that the current generation of consoles provides the most evenly matched competition from the products released by the big entertainment companies in the history of video games. The disparity in terms of processing power and depth of game libraries isn’t that big when it comes to the Xbox 360 and the Playstation 3. And though the Nintendo Wii is gravely trailing in the graphics and processing power departments, it more than makes up for its shortcomings by giving gamers a unique experience they will never find anywhere else.

And gamers have made a decision. As of this writing, almost 3 years worth of sales data reveal that the Nintendo Wii is outselling the Xbox 360 and the PS3 combined.

The newly released Nintendo DSi Console has been well received amongst the die-hard/loyal Nintendo gamer fans. With its sleek/classy Matte Black or White finish, the DSi looks like it is aimed more towards the ‘grown up’ market. In fact, most of the TV adverts have been showing an older generation of gamer, so Nintendo has really spread their marketing net a lot wider now.

But for those who have played with the older DS Games and the more recent DS lite, is there really good reason to upgrade to the new DSi? Well for a start, the DSi has a larger screen. And of course the bigger the screen the brighter it’s likley to be, which the DSi is, and the longer you can get to play your favorite games without getting eye strain. But, the screen is not ‘massively’ bigger so I’m not convinced that the ‘increased’ screen size is a good enough reason to upgrade.

The Nintendo Wii is arguably the best game console on the market today, giving a spectacular range of games and exercises. No matter how young or old you are, the Nintendo Wii console has some thing for every one.

The downside is that the system, like all other things with embedded technology, means that things are going to go wrong for many at some point. Lets face it – With hundreds of millions of consoles out their some Wii gamers are going to have some sort of error or problem.

Unlike most other console games like the Xbox 360, the Nintendo Wii is a much more sophisticated system, with online access and remote sensors. For the non technical, the setting up of the wireless system (wi-fi) can be a large problem, particularly the older group of users who still have issues coming to grips with the latest technology.
