Grand Theft Auto Coming To The Nintendo Wii?

Posted under Wii News

The huge franchise Grand Theft Auto has been released onto every major console out there, including the Nintendo DS with the release of Chinatown Wars. However, GTA has yet to see the light of day on the Nintendo Wii. Well, Ben Feder, CEO of Take-Two, sheds some light on this subject. Here’s his response…

Nintendo’s been a terrific partner for us. We always look at ways in which we can bring our games to platforms that make sense for our games. We’re eager to work with Nintendo to bring our games to their platforms. We just haven’t yet defined the right title for the right platform.

We’re not really told a whole lot here. I can’t imagine a reason why they wouldn’t want GTA on the Nintendo Wii. It has the largest install base of the three consoles. Only time will tell. Hang in there Wii lovers!

Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars for the Nintendo DS

GameSpot got one more look at Rockstar’s Grand Theft Auto experience for the DS.

Rockstar’s upcoming Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars is quite possibly the most shocking entry in the famed series to date. But, if you know GTA, it isn’t for the reasons you might think. While the game offers the immersive experience you’d expect from a GTA game thanks to a meaty story, colorful cast of characters, and the Liberty City setting, the most shocking thing about the game is the fact that it’s shaped up as well as it has on the Nintendo DS. We got one last chance to take a tour of the town recently and were mightily impressed by how Rockstar Leeds has made use of the DS’s unique features.

Comic-Con Walkthrough of Mad World for Wii

Believe it or not but, Mad World is now less than a month away. That means that we are less than a month from playing what looks to be one of the goriest, yet stylistic games to come out in a long time. I’m talking on any console. Sure, the “big boys” may have the Metal Gears or GTA’s but, they have nothing with a uniquely different feel and sense of style like what Platinum Games will be delivering to us next month. The Running Man came on TV last week and as I watched it I couldn’t quit thinking about this game. I mean, I feel like in this game we are going to be playing as Ben Richards mixed with Marv from Sin City and a bit of Ash from Evil Dead thrown in for good taste. Seriously, that is quite the cocktail for making an extremely BA game character. Throw all that in to a bowl with a bit of human darts for seasoning and you’ve got what is sure to be a winner. If I were you, I’d be prepared for a lot more info on this game in the coming month. It all starts with this amazing walkthrough the developers did at Comic-Con.
