Dead Space Extraction Nintendo Wii Updated Impressions

We head deeper into the USG Ishimura in our latest hands-on look at EA’s Wii-exclusive sci-fi horror game.

The bad news only gets worse for the USG Ishimura in the upcoming Wii-exclusive Dead Space Extraction from EA’s Visceral Games development studio. This platform-exclusive survival horror game functions as both a prequel and side story to the acclaimed Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 original. We’ve seen the game a number of times so far (most recently, at GamesCom 2009), and yesterday, EA dropped by with an updated build of the game to show off a new level and give GameSpot an exclusive peek at the first boss in the game.

The Grinder Nintendo Wii First Look

High Voltage’s next first-person shooter on the Wii is coming, and we’ve got a first look.

The Grinder is High Voltage Software’s upcoming first-person shooter on the Wii. The game is due for release in 2010, and today we had a chance to see it for the first time at the High Voltage E3 booth to check out its mix of gritty visuals and nonstop action.

Who’s Making This Game: High Voltage, the development studio responsible for another first-person shooter on the Wii, the sci-fi themed The Conduit.

Dead Space Extraction Wii Updated Impressions

Dead Space Extraction is a fresh take on last year’s premier sci-fi survival horror offering, as we found out in EA’s first demo.

Even though Dead Space didn’t do as well as publisher EA might have hoped, the amount of investment in comics, DVDs and merchandise meant that it was always planned as an ongoing series. In fact, so assured of the nascent franchise’s potential was developer EA Redwood Shores, that it started work on a Wii game halfway through development of the original. We got to speak to the team that broke off to work on Nintendo’s console, and hear how they’re turning the survival horror hit into an on-rails shooter.

The Wii version of Dead Space looks admirably close to the Xbox 360 and PS3 originals.

Commodore 64 & Onslaught Release On WiiShop Channel
