Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Winter Games Nintendo Wii Updated Impressions

The plumber, hedgehog, and friends are getting ready for Vancouver 2010, and we checked out a few new events at GamesCom.

After the enormous success of Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games–(Mario & Sonic win 5M Olympic medals) 5 million copies and counting–creating a sequel based on the upcoming Vancouver 2010 Winter Games seems like a no-brainer. Who’s Making This Game: World Stage is being developed by Ubisoft, which debuted the new snowboarding series last year on the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and Wii. No sequel has yet to be announced for the 360/PS3, but World Stage is set to drop on the Wii later this year.

Well, in this case, Ricardo, Brian and I were technically playing Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Winter Games with a couple of Sega reps in our demo room under the warm glow of fluorescent lighting.
